For ages 10-12. Your children will be exposed to the Spanish language through songs, stories, crafts, and play-based partial immersion, led by Meg Steuer. Meg has taught at Concordia Language Villages and has studied and lived in South America. Each camper will receive a t-shirt, CD of Spanish music, a workbook, and a parent guide with online and other resources to keep the learning going at home.

With generous support from Gundersen Lutheran and Kohls Cares for Kids we are hosting Back to School Safety Day. The event includes half-price admission from 10am-1pm and performances included with admission by Paul Halter & Isaiah Foster as well as safety games, character appearances, and cake. From 1pm-5pm...admission becomes regular price at $6/person.

Saturday, 06 October, 2012 - Big Muddy Run

Join the Big Muddy Run at Myrick Park in La Crosse. Choose a 5K or 1 mile run, each with obstacles, mud pits, water, and more! Presented by Allergy Associates of La Crosse, the Big Muddy Run promises to be a unique annual event to raise funds for the Children's Museum of La Crosse. Open for years 7+ of all skill levels (ages 7-10 must be accompanied by a registered adult and are restricted to the 1-mile route). Awards will be given to the top three female and male runners in each category. Along with all the big muddy fun, runners get a long-sleeved shirt, a drawstring bag, an Oktoberfest button, and other goodies. Register early! There will be a maximum of 250 participants. $100 for ages 16+, $75 for college students with ID, $50 for age 7-15.
